The Sparkle: Tour

Wow. These are some ugly ladies here. Ugly Whores promises to show you “non-beautiful” girls in 100% exclusive content, engaging in a variety of sex acts. Big and small, young and old, straight and lesbian, fetishes, they claim to have it covered. One thing they repeat is that the girls masturbate until the “REAL orgasm.” They have this site optimized for 1024×768 screen resolution and higher, and state that their videos are 640×480 DivX and their photos are High-Quality 1024×768 , so my expectations are high. There are six trailer videos on the tour, and so far this site is living up to it’s name. They promise that they update four times a week.

The Decor: Layout

There is a menu at the top featuring Updates, Models, Photos, and Videos. Below that is a News section and the Latest Updates section, featuring clickable pics of the six most recent additions. Below that is Top Rated Sets, but as of this writing that section is empty.

The Gold: Content

Already I can see that these ladies are not what you expect to see in most porn. Many of the more “regular” girls are wearing garish makeup and have bad hairdos, in order to make them less attractive. Some don’t need to try. There are plenty of missing teeth, and a variety of body types. The guys aren’t very attractive either.

On the Updates page you can see clickable thumbnails of all the content on the site, arranged by date uploaded (most recent first). There are 57 uploads as of this writing: 19 photo sets and 38 videos. The pictures in the photosets are large, extremely focused, and sharp – you can see every detail. The photosets all feature solo masturbation, some with toys.

The videos are a mix of solo and couples, and most of the couples feature the same guy. Broadband users can download them directly to a media player, or you can save them to your hard drive. Both methods take awhile, but you can browse the site while you wait. I couldn’t get the streaming directly to the media player to work at first, because I needed to install DivX codec (a link is provided at the top of each video thumbnails page and it’s free). This took a few minutes to download and install. It only took about 3 minutes to download a 4 minute video to my hard drive with DSL. I was able to view the downloaded version in both WMV and GOM Player. According to the file, the video was 640×464, and it was wonderfully sharp and clear, with plenty of close-ups as well as full body shots. I saw some condoms used (yay!), but I didn’t see any lesbian action, as was promised up front.

On the Models page, you can see all nine of the current models and their year of birth, and click on their photos to get access to all of their work, both photos and videos. The oldest was born in 1947, and the youngest in 1984. Most have made at least six videos or photosets.

They deliver on most of their promises, including 100% exclusive content, and the site seems to be growing at a good pace. The DivX was a little clumsy to work with, and there were no bonus features.
