The Sparkle: Tour

Perfect Video is “the next step in online porn.” They boast of a “huge” library of DVDs and no DRM - so you can download and keep your material on any computer or device you own. And if that’s not enough, they use “technology never before seen in the online porn world.” They have me interested! It looks like the system is currently (as of this writing) in beta, so I am excited to get to try it out. You can browse the site for free, but you have to sign up to see the full videos and scenes.

The Decor: Layout

It is the layout and features that make Perfect Video such a special site. At the very top is a Smoke Screen for immediate privacy. In a slim horizontal navigation menu, the choices are Videos, Scenes, My Playlists, and My Favorites. Along the left is a long list of options that allow you to browse the various niches.

Center screen is the embedded video player, where the video of your choice will play. Scrolling down, there are some more search options, and a selection of videos or scenes from the niche you selected on the left. Once you chose a video, this is replaced with specific video information and scene choices. After you chose a scene to watch, the embedded player returns, and is now followed by a board where you can customize the clip, playing and/or downloading just the moments that interest you.

The Gold: Content

But what about the videos themselves? There are over 100 videos, and over 550 scenes available, broken into over 30 niches. Using a cable modem, the embedded player will start playing within seconds. You can watch the medium sized screen on the site, or have the embedded player pop out to a larger or full screen size, though you do get some pixilation in going to full screen.

As mentioned, you also have the option of downloading your custom clips as WMV files. Using a cable modem, it took about 4 minutes to download a 10 minute clip, which played at 640 x 480. As the videos are from a variety of sources, the quality of the films vary - some are better than others - but all the videos I checked out were very watchable, and there were lots to choose from. None of the material is marked as exclusive, but the layout and navigation of this site are outstanding.
