The Sparkle: Tour

Retro Raw offers classic porn movies with pornstars like John Holmes, Seka, Ginger Lynn, and Vanessa Del Rio. Cruising the tour you’ll see samples and covers of movies along with the dates they were added to the site. It would appear they update approximately once a week with a new movie.

The Decor: Layout

The layout here is very simple with a menu that offers only Covers and Sitemap. To see the content, you just scroll down and hit the next button, surfing each page of movies. They are presented like they were on the tour with the cover of the movie and sample images with a description of the action.

The Gold: Content

The site is a little hard to surf as you cannot easily find content you like. You are presented with a list of the movies, newest at the top and descending. There are three movies presented per page, and you click a “next” link to see another page. There appears to be no way you can search for movies that feature just big tits, or find that movie you liked so much last week.

The only option is to click “Covers” in the menu. This will give you a gallery of all the movie covers, each thumbnail linked to the movie. This way you can at least choose the movie that you’d like to see and it takes you to a page that features just that movie.

As you may have noticed on the tour, each movie is offered in WMV format only in both low and high quality. When you click on high or low, the page reloads. This is very confusing as you have to scroll to find the movie you were at again. Now the clips shown beside the movie of your choice are all either high or low quality, whatever you chose when you clicked. Finally, you click on the clip you’d like to view and start downloading.

I found this was pretty darn confusing and it was much easier to surf through the Covers section instead. That way, when you find a movie you like, it’s the only one displayed on the page. Then, when you click to view either high or low quality clips, you don’t have to scroll to find anything after that.

When I chose to download a high quality clip, it was going to take at least 50 minutes. I decided I’d rather watch the low quality right now and it is only going to take 5 minutes. The clip played at about 320pixels wide and was a real beauty when it comes to retro porn. Even the color of the video screamed retro. And wow, hairy pussy delight! The quality was a lot better than I thought, very clear, and the sound was good.

At the time of this review, there were sixty movies, with more being added to the site approximately every ten days. However, it is not a full movie added at a time, but rather each one appears to get added scene by scene. So that’s a new scene every ten days or so.

I found the site terribly hard to navigate and was disappointed that the videos were only offered in WMV format. The site does have a good solid collection of classic porn movies and they update regularly.
