The Sparkle: Tour

Available in both English and Spanish, Enchantae prides itself as “the best adult comic online”. And not just adult - over 400 pages of hardcore adult, exclusive, comics! I don’t know if they’re funny, but on the tour they certainly are explicit, and drawn delightfully well. They promise weekly updates adding up to a full episode every month. This looks way better than anything Archie ever dreamed of.

The Decor: Layout

At Enchantae they jump right into the action on the start page, with thumbnail links to all the episodes in Volume 1. At the bottom of the page is a link to Volume 2.

The Gold: Content

When they say comics, they really mean comics. There aren’t any extras or side offerings or galleries - just pages and pages of episodes that tell one long epic ongoing tale. There are 35 episodes in Volume 1, and they’ve just started Volume 2. Each episode consists of 12 pages (each week’s update is 3 pages). The pages expand to a good readable size and are super sharp, but they aren’t downloadable and I can’t bring up the properties to tell you their exact size. Navigating between pages is as easy as the click of a button. The art itself is well done, explicit without being fussy, and really clean (and very very dirty).

So on to the plot! Enchantae is the name of a small kingdom where spirituality is sexuality and strange, well-endowed creatures roam the land. We follow a quest to save the world (what else?), which involves sex ceremonies, sex slaves, sex bribery, and when things get tense, a little sex to calm things down. Plus trolls, imps, a captain of the guard, wizards, and did I mention the sex? There’s a lot of sex. The high priestess of lust must follow the clues to save the land and defeat the enemies of the kingdom, accompanied by her lovely, insatiable companion. They use their wits and tits, and while the story is still ongoing, I have no doubt that they will eventually prevail. But there’s going to be a whole hell of a lot of sucking and fucking in the meantime.

I would guess that the cartoons are originally done in Spanish, as the English is a little clumsy, but overall it’s very readable. The story is typical of the medieval fantasy sci-fi quest genre, but they don’t tiptoe around with “heaving bosoms” and “powerful swords” - nothing is left to the imagination in Enchantae. It’s an engaging story, and I found myself reading for a long long time. Sure, the sex is hot, varied, imaginative, and occasionally even surprising, but the plot keeps you going too.
