I *LOVE* being restrained… I love being secured in a nice pair of bondage cuffs and having naughty things done to my body. I was really excited when I was given an opportunity to test out a pair of “Gorilla” cuffs from BitterSweet Restraints. This product line is made by Roderic S. in his home based business in Austin, Texas. Everything is made out of alternative materials, meaning they aren’t made of leather. Instead, Roderic uses a core of polypro-webbing with buckles and d-rings made of an impact resistant plastic.

The “Gorilla” cuffs are three inch wide heavy duty restraints complete with a metal d-ring. These cuffs feature extra stitching and doubled material at the point of the d-ring. The pair I received are black lined with fuzzy black faux-fur. They are secured by a strap of velcro as wide as the cuff, offering the option of going as tight as you need to in order to fit your lover’s wrist. With velcro this wide, your sex slave is never going to escape!

I was a bit sceptical on what I would think of bondage cuffs that aren’t made of leather. It’s as if leather has become synonymous with “fetish” and I was worried that being restrained in something else would make things feel less kinky. I was wrong! These cuffs are extraordinarily comfortable, and look just as sexy as anything I’ve owned made of leather. They are extremely secure and the d-ring and it’s attachment point at the cuff is perfectly capable of enduring stress as your lover struggles and strains against their bondage.

What I really enjoyed about these cuffs was the velcro. It’s SO easy to wrap these babies on and close them tightly. And it’s equally easy for the person in charge to rip them off again should the need arise. In emergencies, you won’t be running around looking for your safety scissors… or if you like to move your submissive from one position into another, you won’t be fiddling around with locks or buckles and cursing the lube that’s still on your fingers for hindering your passion.

Oh, and BitterSweet Restraints offers many options, allowing you to choose the color of your restraints, the material they are made from (fuzzy, lace, pvc, nylon, etc.), and whether you would like a d-ring and buckle or a long tether instead. If you are interested in the Gorilla, you can choose to order a pair of three inch cuffs with d-ring.

These are currently my favorite pair of cuffs. They can handle the tugging and pulling that occurs during heavier bondage play, they make me feel secure and restrained, they are impossible to escape from without a free hand, and on top of all that, they look smashingly sexy!
